Privacy
Last updated: October 2026. In case of difference, the French version prevails.
In short: without an account, Cadra TV collects nothing about you. With a Cadra Account, we keep your email address and encrypted data that we cannot read.
In the app
- No ads, no tracking tools. The account is optional.
- Anonymous statistics: once a day, the app sends cadra.tv a signal that only contains the platform (Fire TV, Android TV, Windows, iPhone or iPad), the version number, whether the device is linked to an account, and a random identifier created at installation. We only keep a truncated fingerprint of this identifier, to count active devices without being able to link them to a person, an IP address or an account. You can turn it off at any time: on TV, Settings → About → Anonymous statistics; on Windows, Settings → General → Privacy → Anonymous statistics; on iPhone and iPad, Settings → Privacy → Anonymous statistics. Older versions of the app send no signal.
- Your sources (playlist addresses, Xtream Codes credentials), favorites, profiles and history are saved on your device. If you link the device to a Cadra Account, they are also synced, encrypted (see below).
- The app only connects to the addresses you provide (playlists, guide, video streams, channel logos) and, for posters and synopses, to TMDB (The Movie Database).
- Services you turn on with your own key: MDBList (IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Letterboxd ratings) and OpenSubtitles (subtitles). The app sends them the movie or series identifier and, for subtitles, the language you want. Your key is saved on the device and, with a Cadra Account, synced encrypted.
- “Skip intro” buttons (setting on by default): for a series recognized by TMDB, the app sends its TMDB identifier to Wikidata to get its IMDb identifier, then sends that identifier, the season and the episode number to IntroDB, which returns the intro markers. Nothing else is sent. Turn the setting off to send nothing (TV: Settings → Preferences; Windows: Settings → General → Playback).
The Cadra Account (optional)
- What we keep: your email address, the account creation and sync dates, and the list of linked devices (the name of each one and its last connection).
- What we cannot read: your sources, credentials, favorites and playback progress. They are encrypted on your device, with a key derived from your recovery phrase, before being sent. We do not know this phrase and cannot recover it for you.
- Where: accounts and encrypted data are hosted by Supabase, in a data center in Paris (European Union, subject to the GDPR). Sign-in emails are sent by Brevo.
- Delete your account: My account → Security → Delete my account. The account and all its data (sources, favorites, progress, keys, devices) are erased immediately and permanently. You can also write to us at bonjour@cadra.tv.
